It's been quite some time since I updated you all on our travels; this is because we have not been traveling! We are still in Tennessee - aside from a few day trips to see local points of interest, we have spent much of our time visiting with fellow stalled travelers and waiting on parts for the bus.
We now have a new inverter, new transfer switch, new steering control valve, new Safety Steer, and new rear oil gauge. We were scheduled to get a compression test on our steering system Monday; however, the gentleman who needs to do this came down with Pneumonia and will not be back until after Christmas.
While we are deciding what to do, we made a trip with our car to Atlanta, GA to see Jim's Aunt Reta. What a blessing to visit with his 80-year old Aunt. God is so good - she recharged our spiritual "batteries" with her awesome witness.
Though the weather has not been bad here, and there is so much beauty around us that we cannot complain, we find ourselves wondering if we should just leave the last "fixes" until another time and head back out on the road. It's almost Christmas and we would love to be mobile, but we have had a few set-backs recently that seem to indicate we should just let God lead us to our next destination.
UPDATE: As I was getting ready to post this, our washing machine decided to act up. Apparently God is telling us to stay a few more days - we cannot get the part needed (hot water valve) until Monday. I guess it is Christmas in Tennessee for the Rhodes'!
